Powder Coating for Rims and Wheels

Powder coating is a metal finishing process that replaces traditional chemically bonded wet paint for any metal part that requires a superior coating. The main difference between conventional liquid paint and powder coating is that powder coating does not require a solvent to keep the binder and filler parts in a liquid suspension form.

Powder coating wheels create this durable mechanical bond designed to withstand harsh elements and any scratches. There is no other coating better for wheels than a powder coating.

The brake calipers house the brake pads and pistons. Its job is to slow the wheels down by creating friction with the brake rotors. They are subject to the challenging elements of mother nature, grease and grime, and brake dust. So, brake calipers are essential.

That is why powder coating the brake pads is also crucial. It will withstand all of the harsh elements thrown at it. It is durable, provides a protective coating from rust, and is available in a wide range of colors.

Wheel Powder Coating Process

The Beginning of this process starts with cold stripping the wheels.

Then we ground particles made of pigments and resin that are electronically charged and sprayed onto your wheels. The electrostatic charge forces these particles to adhere to any metal surface onto which they are sprayed.

The coated wheel is then baked in an industrial oven, allowing these particles to blend and cure. As a result, you are left with a durable, high-quality, and attractive coat and finish.
